In the first half of 2024, the GDP of Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reached 15.17 billion yuan ($2.11 billion), a 9.1 percent increase year-on-year.
The added value of the primary industry was 2.05 billion yuan, up 3.9 percent; the added value of the secondary industry was 6.77 billion yuan, up 17.6 percent; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 6.36 billion yuan, up 3.0 percent.
