Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been optimizing its business environment to attract investment and expand local enterprises.
In 2023, the provincial business environment assessment results showed that Kaiyang achieved a comprehensive score of 99.02, ranking 8th among the province's 30 first-class counties (cities and districts).
This year, Kaiyang strictly adhered to the terms outlined in signed investment promotion agreements, prioritizing the follow-up and service of 25 key projects and assisting Yexiang Jingke Energy Co in refining its application materials for the new momentum fund.
The county's business environment office resolved 35 of 36 enterprise-related issues and requests collected through various channels, including referrals from higher authorities, company feedback letters, on-site interviews by service personnel, and phone follow-ups.
Kaiyang-based Guizhou Anda Technology Energy Co, a traditional high-energy-consuming, low-value-added phosphorus chemical enterprise, has achieved leapfrog development by transforming into a new materials company driven by technological innovation. Its output value has increased from less than 100 million yuan ($13.73 million) in 2012 to nearly 5 billion yuan today.
Behind this remarkable achievement is Kaiyang's long-term support to Anda Technology. In 2023, Kaiyang assisted Anda Technology in securing 75 million yuan from the provincial new industrialization fund and helped recruit 75 skilled technical professionals through the Guizhou Talent Expo.
