In recent years, Kaiyang county has been developing rural tourism tailored to local villages, which has yielded remarkable results.

In the county's Tiankan village, the Lanzhi Tea Garden Base pioneers rural tourism by offering an immersive experience in pristine natural beauty. Visitors can marvel at a celestial landscape where rolling clouds weave through misty mountains. They can breathe in the fresh, sweet, and invigorating air and savor the aromatic selenium-rich tribute tea.

"Green economy and scenic industry development go hand-in-hand. Today, our village doesn't just sell tea leaves; we also 'sell the scenery'," said Mao Hui, Party chief of the village.

The county's Qingjiang village combines agricultural tourism, fruit picking, and leisure activities. This allows visitors to enjoy flower blossoms in spring and fruit picking in summer, enriching the variety of rural tourism experiences.

Longguang village, a provincial demonstration site for the integrated development of rural tourism and a traditional ethnic village, has been revitalizing idle rural farmhouses to promote rural homestays.

Seventeen idle residential plots covering 2,040 square meters have been revitalized to create various styles of "star-rated homestays", including scenic resort, rural countryside, and cultural experience themes. The average annual income per household has reached 16,000 yuan ($2,196.80).
