Kaiyang county enters autumn harvest season

With the coming of autumn, Fengsan town -- in Kaiyang county, administrated by Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has entered a bumper harvest season.

This year, the town planted more than 12,000 mu (800 hectares) of rice, some 27,000 mu of corn and 1,700 mu of soybeans. As a result, the total grain output is expected to reach 19,000 metric tons.

At the moment, the autumn harvest work there is under way and it is expected that all the rice harvesting will be completed in late October.
