Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has seen rapid development in its manufacturing industry in recent years.
Relying on its phosphate rock resources, Kaiyang is striving to build a modern industrial system with new energy battery materials as the main chain, and high-end phosphate fertilizer, the fine phosphorus chemical industry, aluminum and aluminum processing as auxiliary chains.
The Kaiyang Economic and Development Zone is a highlight of the county's manufacturing industry.
It was awarded the honorable title of the first batch of chemical industrial parks at the Guizhou provincial level.
The zone is currently home to 83 enterprises, of which 34 are above a designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.01 million) or more.
To better serve local industrial development, Kaiyang has formulated such documents as the "Special Plan for Industrial Layout and Development of Kaiyang County during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period (2021-25)", the "Industrial Plan for Kaiyang County's Chemical Industrial Parks", and the "General Conceptual Plan for Tourism Industry in Southern Kaiyang".
It also launched the "Strategic Plan for the Rural Revitalization of Kaiyang County", and the "General Development Plan for Kaiyang County's Industrial Parks".
Moreover, the "2022 Business Environment Work Plan for Kaiyang County" was launched to improve its business environment.
Huang Lidan, general manager of Yifu (Guizhou) New Materials Technology Co, an enterprise in Kaiyang, said that the company is confident about its operations in Kaiyang.
After its production plant begins operating, the enterprise will go on to build a product R&D center there.
