Officials said that the construction of the projects will further boost the industrial structure of Kaiyang county, lay a solid foundation for its development, improve people's lives and effectively advance the county's poverty alleviation and its economic and social transformation.

One highlight of the raft of initiative is a hydrogen peroxide plant, officials said.

Funded by Guizhou Saibang Technology Development Co with an investment of 220 million yuan, the plant is scheduled to be completed in one year and it will produce 100,000 metric tons of hydrogen peroxide annually, employing more than 100 people.

The plant's annual output will be worth about 300 million yuan and it will pay taxes of 50 million yuan per year.
