Kaiyang's road building, maintenance work makes the grade

A group of officials from Guizhou Highway Bureau carried out an assessment and passed road construction and maintenance work by Kaiyang county in central Guizhou province on Oct 31.

The group, consisting of six people, was accompanied by officials from Guiyang traffic department, according to officials.

The group paid an inspection tour to Nanjiang, Hefeng, Shuangliu and Chengguan townships.

Its members checked a total of seven roads, with a length of 60 kilometers.

Meanwhile, they visited the Shuidongxiangshe homestay project, the Maba vineyard as well as a rural roads-themed photo exhibition. 

Later in the day, they also checked some material at the government building and listened to a report on rural road construction, after watching a video.

The group spoke highly of Kaiyang's road construction work. Officials from the group urged the county to make more of an effort on the road construction and maintenance work, so as to win the battle against poverty and speed up rural modernization.
