"Monkey Ear Tiankeng" Scenic Area

The Guizhou Kaiyang "Monkey EarTiankeng" scenic area is located in Chengguan Town, Kaiyang County, in the north of Guiyang City. It is 62 kilometers away from Guiyang City and 70 kilometers away from historical and cultural Zunyi City.

Featuring typical karst topography, the "Monkey Ear Tiankeng" is a naturally formed pit with an average elevation of 1,100 meters and a planned area of 18 square kilometers. The diameter of the pithead is 300 meters, its depth is 280 meters, and the maximum diameter at its bottom is 280 meters, which is a standard silo shape of Tiankeng. 

The scenic area integrates the pit, cliffs, dark rivers, caves, and waterfalls, presenting mysterious and secluded scenery.
