Guiyang bureau enhances support for energy and mineral enterprises

Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning recently hosted a strategic dialogue with Southwest Energy and Mineral Inc and Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group, led by Deputy Director Li Chunsheng.

The meeting aimed to strengthen government-enterprise communication and proactively address industry needs.

Both companies shared updates on their operations and explored potential cooperation in geothermal energy. Representatives of Southwest Energy and Mineral Inc discussed ongoing geothermal projects, while preliminary discussions were held regarding exploration rights for geothermal resources in Longgang town, Kaiyang county.

The companies also raised concerns about navigating procedures under the new Mineral Resources Law, particularly regarding the renewal of geothermal exploration rights in Baiyun district. The bureau provided detailed policy guidance, clarifying legal requirements and administrative procedures to ensure enterprises fully understand compliance obligations.

Deputy Director Li emphasized two priorities: first, proactive service, with relevant departments taking responsibility to support enterprises, resolve difficulties, and promote development; second, precise communication, establishing a one-on-one liaison mechanism to ensure timely updates and targeted solutions to enterprise challenges.

The dialogue underscores Guiyang's commitment to facilitating sustainable industrial growth while strengthening regulatory clarity and government-enterprise collaboration.
