Guizhou uses DeepSeek to enhance natural resource management

The Guizhou Department of Natural Resources and Planning has integrated an AI-powered intelligent governance system using the domestically-produced DeepSeek model into its natural resource approval platform.

This marks a significant step forward in the digital transformation of natural resource management, with AI playing a key role.

The deployment utilizes the full version of the DeepSeek model architecture, supported by a fully localized computing infrastructure provided by Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Group. This innovation enables private model parameter deployment and seamless integration with administrative workflows.

By building an AI technology framework on an independent foundation, the system ensures closed-loop management of data throughout its lifecycle, effectively preventing the leakage of sensitive information.

The AI-powered platform now supports various government applications, including intelligent Q&A, policy interpretation, document drafting, and smart proofreading, significantly improving administrative efficiency and service accuracy.

Looking ahead, the department will collaborate with Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Group to further integrate AI technology with natural resource management.

Plans include developing a dedicated knowledge graph for the sector and advancing smart applications in four key areas: safeguarding resource baselines, optimizing spatial planning, promoting green and low-carbon development, and protecting property rights.
