Guiyang city -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, built nine settlements for relocated impoverished people this year, involving 12,090 people from 3,009 families and 3,064 houses.

To help with the real estate registration of the settlements, the Guiyang natural resources and planning bureau and the bureau of agriculture and rural affairs cooperated to simplify the paperwork.

That reduced the processing from five days to one day.

Staff members at the Guiyang real estate registration center also issue real estate certificates for relocated people after working hours or during weekends.

As a result, by Dec 21 all 3,064 houses had been registered.
