The bureau of natural resources and planning in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, inspected a gravel plant in Baiyun district to prevent illegal mining of mineral resources on Oct 14.
The bureau checked the plant's mining plans before visiting the mining site and discovered suspected cross-boundary mining of sands and gravels.
The bureau immediately urged the plant to follow the natural resource management laws. Natural resources officials will entrust surveying and mapping institutions to investigate the plant's mining scope.
If proof of cross-boundary mining is found, the plant will be dealt with according to the law.
