Inspections aim to troubleshoot potential safety hazards

Xiao Ang, deputy director of Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, recently led a team to assess the safety of natural resource production and the efficacy of geological disaster prevention work.

The inspection team held discussions with relevant responsible persons, listening to their reports and looking through their materials. Team members then inspected two geological disaster control projects and four sites with geological disaster risks.

During the inspections, the team learned in detail about the work being done with respect to legal mine supervision, safety production, pre-flood season geological disaster investigations, compilation of prevention and control plans, and implementation of comprehensive geological disaster management projects.

Yao particularly emphasized that basic work should be done well in order to protect the safety of people's lives and property.

Production safety and geological disaster prevention and control are still facing challenges this year, making it increasingly important to seek to remove various hidden dangers and implement preventative measures.

Signs warning of hidden dangers should be replaced with new ones regularly and particular places should be guarded 24 hours a day with leaders taking charge of the shifts.
