Milne Bay Province delegation visits Gui'an FTZ to deepen cooperation

A delegation from Milne Bay Province of Papua New Guinea visited the Gui'an Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on Sept 14 for a field visit and exchange.

Through on-site tours to key enterprises and discussions to connect on cooperation matters, the visit further smoothed regular communication channels between the two places, deepened pragmatic friendship city cooperation, and jointly broadened new development space for opening-up.

The first stop of the visit was Guizhou Jinqian Yuchun Tea Co, where the delegation conducted an on-site study of the development achievements of Guizhou's modern tea industry.

In the production workshop, the delegation learned in detail about Guizhou high-mountain tea's ecological planting standards, tea-making techniques, quality control system, and export competitive advantages.

The company representative introduced the local product system and foreign trade development layout of Guizhou's tea industry.

The delegation tasted famous Guizhou teas and highly affirmed the quality of the premium tea products and the standardized production model, and held in-depth exchanges on topics such as overseas promotion of tea and cross-border trade cooperation.

Subsequently, the delegation visited Guizhou KRJ Photoelectricity Co. They explored the production workshop and examined core products such as LED display screens, outdoor lighting equipment, and smart solar light poles, making detailed inquiries about the products' technical performance, innovation highlights, climate adaptability, and applications in overseas markets.

After the on-site visit, the two sides held a symposium and exchange meeting, focusing on in-depth alignment in areas such as industrial collaboration, two-way trade, people-to-people connectivity, and cross-border logistics.

The delegation spoke highly of Gui'an FTZ's industrial strength, supporting facilities, and business environment, believing that the two places have strong industrial complementarity and huge cooperation potential. They said they take this visit as an opportunity to deepen pragmatic cooperation in multiple fields and facilitate the signing of practical cooperation agreements.

Moving forward, Gui'an FTZ will continue to implement the cooperation consensus, deepen economic and trade collaboration, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and expand high-level opening-up, driving high-quality regional economic development through stronger open-economy momentum.
