Guiyang-made chemicals exported to 19 countries and regions

"The batch of goods has passed customs inspection and is ready to be shipped to Egypt," said Yin Xiongwei, plant manager of Guizhou Julisheng Chemical Co, on May 22, pointing to neatly stacked bags of potassium hydroxide.

The company is located in Kaiyang county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Since the start of mass production, the company's potassium hydroxide has earned strong market recognition and a sustained inflow of new orders. The product serves as raw material for the company's phase 1.5 project, which will produce refined phosphates and support the manufacturing operations of enterprises in the local industrial park. It is also sold to multiple domestic locations, including Xinjiang, Sichuan, Guangxi, and Hebei.

The company's overseas sales channels are also expanding, with products now reaching 19 countries and regions, including Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Chile, and Kenya.

"Orders are scheduled through the end of the year. To ensure timely delivery for both domestic and international orders, the workshop operates on a 24-hour three-shift, two-team rotation system," Yin said.

He added that the demand exceeds supply, with over 20 truckloads shipped daily and virtually no inventory left. In the second quarter, the plant aims to produce 4,500 metric tons of potassium hydroxide, 9,600 tons of hydrochloric acid, and 1,800 tons of sodium hypochlorite per month – ensuring full-capacity, high-efficiency, and safe production.

"As more products roll off the line, our exports will continue to grow," said Xiang Xin, the company's general manager. He added that the potassium dihydrogen phosphate production line has now begun operating, while the food-grade phosphate and nitrogen-potassium fertilizer lines are in trial production. Leveraging the strong competitiveness of its products, sales are steadily climbing, with annual output value expected to reach 2 billion yuan ($294.89 million) this year.

As Guizhou's first potassium hydroxide production line, the project's smooth launch would not have been possible without the support of a favorable local business environment.

"Normally, a similar potassium hydroxide project would take about two years to complete. We went from groundbreaking to production in just one year," Xiang said. He noted that when it came to obtaining the production license for key industrial products, Kaiyang county proactively arranged for the head of the market supervision bureau to facilitate the process at the provincial level. This allowed the company to secure the license in February of this year, successfully launching large-scale production and achieving a strong start in the first quarter – producing over 10,000 tons of potassium hydroxide with an output value of approximately 100 million yuan.
