A highly futuristic, capsule-shaped "mobile space" has been seen moving through the streets of Medina, Saudi Arabia. This autonomous minibus, named RoboBus, was undergoing road safety testing and was developed by Guizhou Hankaisi Intelligent Technology Co (PIX Moving), a company based in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ).

The debut of the RoboBus in Saudi Arabia not only marks a successful breakthrough into the high-end Middle Eastern market for intelligent equipment manufacturing technology from Guiyang HIDZ, but also serves as a vivid example of Guizhou's technological innovations crossing mountains and seas to "go global" and compete internationally.

This autonomous driving project is jointly promoted by the Saudi General Directorate of Traffic and the Al Madinah Development Authority. It is an important part of Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at accelerating digital transformation and optimizing public transportation services for religious activities.

With disruptive innovations such as "no cockpit, modular design, and bi-directional driving", RoboBus meets Saudi Arabia's demand for improving urban digital governance capabilities.

Having established deep roots in Guiyang HIDZ over many years, PIX Moving has utilized the zone's unique big data industrial ecosystem and supportive policies to strengthen its presence in the field of intelligent mobile spaces, making the leap from technological development to global prominence.

Currently, the company's autonomous driving products are available in more than 30 countries and regions worldwide, with applications in automotive powerhouses such as Germany, Japan, Switzerland, and Italy, earning wide recognition in the international market.

While actively expanding its global footprint, PIX Moving also remains committed to giving back to its hometown, ensuring that technological advancements benefit the local community. The world's first autonomous mobile space route, the Guiyang Wonder Loop, which the company helped build, has completed trial operations in Guanshanhu district, connecting key hubs such as commercial areas, parks, and residential communities.

In the third quarter of this year, Guanshanhu district and the Guiyang HIDZ will fully launch a variety of autonomous mobile space services, allowing more residents to experience the technological charm right at their doorsteps.
