In the first four months of this year, Gui'an Free Trade Zone (Gui'an FTZ) is expected to achieve 4.03 billion yuan ($593.36 million) in foreign trade, indicating steady growth. The zone transported a cumulative total of 3,028 metric tons of goods for foreign trade enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 120 percent, with 219 vehicle trips, up 152 percent year-on-year.

Gui'an FTZ has broadened its opening-up channels, targeting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia. Its "two-direction, three-route" road truck service covers routes from Guizhou to Hong Kong via Shenzhen, to Hong Kong via Zhuhai, and to Vietnam via Pingxiang, which has not only facilitated faster access to sea routes for goods but also saved time and logistics costs for enterprises.
In March, the Gui'an New Area National Processing Trade Industrial Park, applied for by Gui'an FTZ, was included in the second batch of the National Processing Trade Industrial Park list by the Ministry of Commerce. This recognition represents another national-level honor for Gui'an FTZ and serves as a strong testament to its efforts in building a robust opening-up platform.
To expand the base of open-economy participants, Gui'an FTZ continues to promote the attraction and implementation of major foreign trade projects based on its existing open entities.
The zone is also seizing policy opportunities from the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, and other national authorities regarding the bonded maintenance industry, while improving relevant policies and measures to gain a policy first-mover advantage for the industry's growth and expansion.
