The Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province, in collaboration with Guiyang Free Trade Zone, held the Guizhou-Lancang-Mekong Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference on March 20.
This aims to help implement the spirit of the provincial conference on promoting the high-quality development of market entities, establish a platform for regular economic and trade cooperation between Guizhou and countries in the region, and better serve local businesses.
The conference invited China-based consulate officials and business representatives from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand to present their key industrial policies, major cooperation projects, and import and export needs.
They also engaged in interactive Q&A sessions and exchanges with Guizhou enterprises.
The event attracted nearly 200 Guizhou-based market entities, including key "going global" enterprises, central government-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, and private companies.
They engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from Lancang-Mekong countries, obtained relevant policy information, and established regular communication mechanisms.
A dedicated session was also arranged to promote foreign affairs-related policies facilitating Guizhou enterprises in "going global", provide practical information on APEC Business Travel Card applications and travel safety guidelines, and distribute consular protection materials.
This conference represents a concrete action taken by Guizhou's foreign affairs system to focus on the main theme of "economic foreign affairs" and serve the high-quality development of local enterprises.
Moving forward, more efforts will be made to deepen "foreign affairs benefiting enterprises" services, helping local businesses make full use of open platform resources and further explore international markets.
