Guizhou ships Geely auto parts to Belarus via consolidation methods

A China-Europe Railway Express, fully loaded with Geely auto parts, weighing over 2,000 metric tons and valued at 24.9 million yuan ($3.63 million), is headed to Minsk, Belarus. Unlike previous Guizhou-made goods exported via other ports, this is the first time the province has achieved "one-stop" customs clearance at the Guizhou International Consolidation and Distribution Center.

The train departed from Guiyang International Land Port on Feb 15, exiting through the Alashankou Port, and is expected to arrive in Minsk in about 15 days, covering a total distance of approximately 11,650 kilometers.

To ensure smooth delivery, local authorities, including Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Zhucheng Customs, Guiyang International Land Port, Guiyang Railway Logistics Center, and Guiyang Logistics Co, have joined forces to deliver coordinated services.

The Guizhou International Consolidation and Distribution Center in Guiyang Free Trade Zone, operated by Guiyang Logistics Co, coordinated transportation in advance, moving the auto parts from the Geely plant to the center for container consolidation. Guiyang Railway Logistics Center secured empty containers and ensured efficient transport organization by coordinating resources, while Zhucheng Customs designed a tailored clearance process that enabled convenient, consolidated declarations, enhancing efficiency while maintaining effective oversight.

"This train shortens the transport cycle by at least 10 days and is expected to save nearly 10 million yuan in annual transportation costs – truly reducing costs and improving efficiency," said a representative from Guizhou Geely Automobile Manufacturing Co.

Guiyang Free Trade Zone has deepened the integrated development with Guiyang International Land Port in recent years, building with utmost efforts a service system that features customs clearance facilitation, service efficiency, business-friendly environment, and cost-effective logistics, supporting enterprises including leading ones like Geely, Hisense, and Guizhou Tyre. This has driven Guizhou's international trade logistics toward large-scale consolidation and streamlined shipping.

Guizhou International Consolidation and Distribution Center has helped more than 20 types of Guizhou-made goods reach markets beyond the province and overseas, achieving a bonded import-export value of 906 million yuan.
