Lu Xiaoying, Secretary-general of Guizhou Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Han Liyun, Director of Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, held a symposium with the delegation and delivered remarks.

Officials from Guiyang Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Guiyang Bureau of Education, and Guiyang Bureau of Sports also attended, exchanging views based on their institutional mandates.

During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on friendship city development, cultural and tourism exchanges, educational cooperation, sports activities, as well as exhibitions and performances, reaching common understandings.

Under "provincial + municipal" partnership model, they will promote the establishment of friendly relations between Guiyang and Hongseong County in Chungcheongnam-do Province, alongside cooperation in fields such as the digital economy, youth summer camps, culture, and tourism.

They will also invite South Korean tourism authorities and travel agencies to attend the Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference to be held in Guiyang next month, with the aim of promoting mutual visits between the two places.

Efforts will be made to facilitate cooperation between universities in Hongseong County and Guiyang Vocational and Technical College, as well as Guizhou College of Electronic Science and Technology, in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, academic research, and cultural interactions.

In addition, activity details regarding taekwondo demonstrations and summer camps for South Korean youth were discussed.

As the trend of South Korean tourists visiting Guizhou continues to grow, this symposium aims to utilize diplomatic channels to encourage greater non-governmental engagement and mutual exchanges.

Moving forward, Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will collaborate with relevant departments to deliver on the consensus through list- and project-based approaches, contributing further to the burgeoning friendship between China and South Korea.
