Over the past decade of its development in Guiyang city, Chery & Wanda has been involved in the research and manufacturing of buses, developing pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel buses, and achieving full qualifications for bus production. Relying on its market experience, including maintaining the top export of Chinese domestic-brand buses for 22 consecutive years, the company is accelerating resource integration and increasing its overseas business proportion.
Since 2023, the number of countries and regions to which Chery & Wanda exports buses has increased from two to 20, and annual overseas orders have jumped from dozens to 500.
The battle in overseas markets boils down to a competition of technological strength. Wang Kehua, deputy director of Chery & Wanda's technology center, said that bus manufacturing is mainly based on manual assembly, and customized production requires continuous adjustment of the process flow, from basic components to power systems, all of which need to comply with higher standards.

To this end, the company has established a dedicated R&D team for overseas markets, with the number of overseas products under development now five times that of domestic products. The company will further increase its R&D efforts for exporting products next year.
Chery & Wanda’s buses have entered 20 countries and regions, including Vietnam, South Korea, Romania, Brazil, and Mexico. In 2026, it plans to export 1,000 buses, accounting for half of its total production, and continue deepening its market layout, enabling Guiyang-made buses to reach broader international markets.
