Guiyang-Hanoi flight route opens

The flight GY702 successfully landed at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, at 12:49 pm on Aug 31, marking the launch of the first international passenger route by Guizhou's only local airline, Colorful Guizhou Airlines.

The Guiyang-Hanoi flight route is served by an Airbus A320NEO aircraft, with flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The flight departs from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 8:15 am Beijing time and arrives at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport at 8:55 am local time. The return flight takes off from Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport at 10:25 am local time and lands at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 1:20 pm Beijing time. The total flight time is about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Since its establishment in 2015, Colorful Guizhou Airlines has gradually expanded its fleet to 19 aircraft, connecting over 40 destinations nationwide and forming a regional flight network with routes heading east, south and north.

To ensure the smooth operation of its first international route, the airline, with nine years of safe operational experience, established a special working group for international route operation to plan and optimize every aspect of the process.

Extensive coordination with domestic and international departments ensured optimal airspace conditions for test flights, while frontline operational departments implemented international operation training systems, crew deployment and arrangement plans, and test flight arrangements.

In recent years, by understanding market demands and the development prospects of civil aviation in Guizhou, the airline has steadily advanced its international route plans. By increasing the number of international routes, it aims to create an aerial economic corridor, contributing to Guizhou's integration into the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
