Trains loaded with asphalt and carbon blocks recently arrived in Qingzhen International Land Port in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The trains departed from Qinzhou Port in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Zhujiangyuan Railway Station in Yunnan province, respectively. So far this year, Qingzhen International Land Port has handled over 70,000 metric tons of goods, achieving a strong start of 2024.

Qingzhen International Land Port is a part of the "one port, multiple zones" development plan created by Guizhou Railway Investment Group Co. In January of this year, Guiyang Qingzhen International Land Port Co was formally established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guiyang International Land Port Co, which in itself is a fully-owned subsidiary of Guizhou Railway Investment Group Co.

Guiyang Qingzhen International Land Port Co is responsible for the operation and management of the Lindainan Railway special line and the railway logistics park at Guiyang Qingzhen International Land Port.

Tan Qisong, executive director and general manager of Guiyang Qingzhen International Land Port Co, introduced that the "one port, multiple zones" development plan aims to cooperate with various logistics parks in cities and prefectures inside and outside Guizhou, so as to improve the logistics infrastructure network, share resources, and achieve collaborative development.

With this cooperation, local goods can be exported via train out of the province and abroad. Additionally, goods from other regions can be transported to Guizhou quickly, making trade between Guizhou and the world more frequent and convenient, Tan added.

Qingzhen International Land Port is located within Qingzhen's aluminum-coal ecological industrial base. It is adjacent to the Huchao-Nayong Railway and connected to three expressways – Xiameng-Chengdu Expressway, Shanghai-Kunming Expressway, and Guiyang-Qianxi Expressway, as well as the S307 highway.

The road network surrounding this land port is highly efficient and interconnected, allowing seamless transition between different modes of transportation within the port area, and helping companies reduce cost and improve efficiency.

The construction of Qingzhen International Land Port is divided into two phases. Currently, the first phase offers railway container transportation services for diverse goods such as coal, carbon blocks, bauxite, slag, alumina oxide, and sandstone, among others.

The port has obtained a permit for handling hazardous chemicals (caustic soda), possesses warehousing capabilities for both general and hazardous goods, and has successfully transported goods using the combined transport of waterway and railway.

Data shows that since its opening, the accumulated goods transported to and from the port have amounted to 644,800 tons.
