Supported by the Guiyang Bureau of Commerce, Southwest China's Guizhou province recently launched its new Guizhou-Southeast Asia freight truck route on Dec 28.

Two fully loaded trucks inaugurated this new route. They set off from Longbang International Port in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and reached their destination, Vinh Phuc Province in Vietnam, after traveling 14.5 hours and 852 kilometers.

The launch of this new route signifies a milestone for Guiyang as an inland development hub.

Through the Longbang International Port, Guiyang has now established an international logistics corridor that boasts the shortest transportation distance and the fastest transportation time to Southeast Asia and the estuary.

This new route will contribute to Guizhou's outward-oriented economy. It will improve the import and export of goods to and from Southeast Asia.

Unique products from ASEAN countries, such as food, handicrafts, furniture, timber, and industrial raw materials, can now find their way into Guizhou and its surrounding areas with this new freight route.

Additionally, this route will allow vegetables, fruits, and machinery from Guizhou to reach Southeast Asian countries.

The launch of this route is expected to help form a logistics corridor facing Southeast Asia, help optimize road transportation, and provide favorable conditions for Guiyang to serve as a national logistics hub via Niulanguan Land Port.
