The "Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)" digital exhibition and sales network was recently announced in Baiyun district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. It is the first of its kind in China.

Guizhou Zhiyuan Guopin Culture Co is utilizing its advantages in information technology and big data, along with several national preferential policies, to operate the network. The network is estimated to have business dealings with over 150 countries involved in BRI.

According to the plan, the network will be built into a physical and digital exhibition platform, a digital agency system platform, and a platform to integrate product and cultural experiences for high-quality trade between China and countries involved in BRI.

Li Ming, chairman of Guizhou Zhiyuan Guopin Culture Co, said that the network will serve the construction of the country's new development pattern through trade exchanges. It will improve China's dual-circulation efficiency by optimizing and reshaping industrial structures.

With the construction of the network, Guizhou will become a center for branded products, product selection, online order processing, cross-border settlements, and logistics management for BRI commodity trade.

A series of high-quality cultural products, ecological products, and tourism services in Guizhou will go global after the network is put into operation. In the meantime, the network will use digital technology to boost regional industrial upgrading and promote Guizhou products as they enter the international market.

Guizhou is considered as a hub because it is connected to the west with the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor and to various Southeast Asian countries in the southwest. It also connects to the Yangtze River Economic Belt in the east and the Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Circle in the southeast.

Currently, Guizhou is striving to become an inland hub for open economy. Guizhou has made outstanding achievements in the construction of an outward-oriented economy by utilizing the China-Europe Railway Express, China-Laos Railway, the New International Land-Sea Corridor, and the Guiyang International Dry Port.

The establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has helped many Guizhou enterprises of various types to explore ASEAN markets.
