Guiyang airport switches to summer flight schedule

Starting on March 26, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport  in Southwest China's Guizhou province began operating its summer flight schedule.

Under the new schedule, the airport will operate 152 flight routes to 95 cities, basically covering the country's provincial capitals, municipalities, and cities having economic, trade and tourism exchanges with Guiyang. Some third- and fourth-tier cities are also included in the airport's flight schedule.

A total of 3,000 flights will be operated every week, and the daily passenger throughput will reach 54,000.

According to the opening sales data of Guiyang airport, the number of flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing, Jinan, and Zhengzhou is planned to exceed five or more per day.

Among other popular routes, the number of flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Sanya, Haikou, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Harbin, and Shenyang will exceed three per day.

Additionally, Guiyang airport will add more four domestic routes to Dehong in Yunnan province, Linfen in Shanxi province, Bazhong in Sichuan province, and Jingzhou in Hubei province. The airport will increase the number of flights to Phuket, Thailand, to three times a week, and increase the number of flights to Bangkok, Thailand, to four times a week.

In order to meet the surging travel demands, Guiyang airport is planning to increase and resume the number of flights to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea and other intercontinental routes in an orderly manner.
