Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently signed a quadrilateral cooperation agreement.
The other three parties were the Sukkur Government Polytechnic Institute in Pakistan, Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority in Pakistan and Tang Chinese Education & Technology.
The Sino-Pak Silk Road College was also unveiled at the ceremony.
Chairman of the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority said that the establishment of the college has the potential to help Pakistan better understand Chinese vocational education, cultivate outstanding water conservancy and hydropower professionals for Pakistan, and meet the talent needs of Chinese-funded enterprises in Sindh Province.
Zou Lianke, secretary of the education work committee of the Guizhou CPC Committee, secretary of the leading Party group and director of the Guizhou Provincial Education Department, said in his speech that the educational cooperation between Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower and Pakistan is a major step forward in the opening-up of education in Guizhou.
He expressed hope that the partnership will further enhance China-Pakistan pragmatic cooperation in education, help Guizhou establish more friendly government-school-enterprise relations, and strengthen education counterpart exchanges between Guizhou and Sindh.
Zhou Dengtao, secretary of the leading Party group and director of Guizhou Provincial Department of Water Resources, expressed hope that all parties will take the signing as an opportunity to cultivate more high-quality compound technical and technical talent in the field of water conservancy and contribute to China-Pakistan friendship.
