Han Zaichen (Chinese name), an international student from Bangladesh, has lived in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, for three years.
He says that the scenery is charming, the weather is pleasant, the people are hospitable, and the folk customs are fascinating.
In 2019, 18-year-old Han came to Guizhou University to study international trade.
After living in Guiyang for three years, Han has completely adapted to life here. During this period, he visited many places in the city, such as Huaxi Park, Hongfeng Lake, Jiaxiu Pavilion, Qianling Mountain Park, and Guanshanhu Park.
He has also visited Anshun, Tongren, Bijie and other places in Guizhou with his classmates. He says that Guizhou's scenery is very beautiful.
"Guiyang not only has beautiful scenery and cool weather, but also a lot of delicious food."
Han said that in the years he came to Guiyang, he has not only become accustomed to eating houttuynia cordata, or fishy-smelly herb, and beef noodles, but also fallen in love with the grilled fish and sour soup fish.
In Han's class, he is the only international student. Most of his classmates are from Guizhou, and everyone is friendly to him.
"They are really nice. If there is something I don't understand, everyone is more than willing to help me." Han said that in just a few years in Guizhou, his Chinese proficiency has greatly improved.
Han said he hoped to contribute to building an international trade bridge between Bangladesh and China after graduation to bring specialty products from his hometown to China, and Guizhou products to Bangladesh.
