Guizhou university's Western Returned Scholars Association assists in fight against virus

The Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China) of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics has participated in various volunteer activities to contribute to COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts.

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently been hit by a new wave of COVID-19.

Luo Ya, director of the university's planning and finance department and president of the association who lives in Yunyan district, has been participating in community volunteer work since static management was implemented in the community.

She helped community workers complete registration and inspection, organize nucleic acid testing, distribute antigen testing materials, assist residents in purchasing materials, and spread awareness of important information.

Elderly who require door-to-door services, people with yellow health codes, and people with special needs are being followed up on one by one.

Jie Lei, a member of the association and deputy chief of the university's overseas study management center, is responsible for coordinating the pandemic prevention and control of international students, helping them to complete nucleic acid testing and antigen testing, and coordinating and guaranteeing daily necessities for them.

Others have also contributed their own strength to the fight against the pandemic.
