It's the fifth year since Tatiana came to Southwest China's Guizhou province from Russia: As a fan of Chinese kung fu movies, she had wanted to go there since she was 6.

During university in her country, she got the chance to study as an exchange student at Guizhou University – located in Guiyang, capital of the province – and continue to study for a master's degree in journalism and communications there.

She hopes to become a cultural disseminator to help young people in Russia and China understand each other. In her five years of studying in Guizhou, she has witnessed the great changes in the province and hopes to work in China after graduation.

She looks forward to becoming a professional journalist and popularizing China's stories across the world.

Elsewhere, Dinis from Mozambique has just graduated from Guizhou University with a master's degree, majoring in agricultural resources and the environment.

During his study in Guizhou, he has been to big cities as well as rural areas and said that he has been impressed by the beauty of villages in Guizhou's remote mountainous areas.

Mozambique was a hub of the ancient Maritime Silk Route and it is now participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Dinis plans to continue with his studies in Guizhou and go back to Mozambique to contribute to the development of his hometown.
