Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University in Southwest China's Guizhou province and Nishikyushu University in Japan's Saga Prefecture held online talks on June 2 – the first since they signed an academic exchange agreement in May.

During the meeting, the two sides gave presentations on themselves, including their styles of management and international cooperation needs.

The two discussed promoting friendly exchanges in disciplines that cover medical treatment, nursing, healthcare, social care, sports and traditional Chinese medicine.

They also explored the possibilities for cooperation in the development of teacher teams, training, platforms for curriculum exchanges and joint input on school administration.

Guizhou province and Saga Prefecture started friendly exchanges more than 20 years ago. In recent years, they have promoted online cooperation in teenager exchange programs and higher education amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
