Guiyang, Guian conduct foreign affairs training

The Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office held a training session on April 27 for the foreign affairs work to be conducted in the current year by the city of Guiyang and the nearby Guian New Area – both located in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Officials from government departments at all levels and the foreign exchanges departments of universities in Guiyang and Guian attended the session.

The training session included explanations of documents regulating foreign affairs activities, consular protection policies, the handling of foreign-related cases, as well as the management of international journalists, among other things.

Training took place on international friendly city construction, international exchanges and cooperation and the protocols of foreign affairs activities. Also offered at the session was training on foreign affairs promotions, the regulation of public signs in foreign languages and foreign affairs-related translations.

Liu Xue, director of the Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, said that regional foreign affairs work was significant for international cooperation and local development.

Guiyang and Guian should follow the requirements of the CPC Guiyang municipal committee and Guiyang municipal government to boost reform, expand opening-up and promote the region's high-quality development.

Liu also urged the trainees to learn more about policy and foreign affairs work and promote international exchanges and cooperation in various fields and industries, in order to achieve practical results.
