An expressway section in Guiyang and Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently praised by Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on Twitter for its beautiful scenery.
The spokesman posted a photo of the section on his Twitter account on April 22 and said "What a great experience to drive on this expressway in Guiyang, China."
The section is part of the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway and passes through the world's largest cherry base – Pingba Cherry Park.
It has been recognized as the most beautiful expressway by many netizens, as it is surrounded by cherry blossoms.
The cherry trees in Pingba are in full bloom every spring, enveloping the expressway.
Pingba Cherry Park covers an area of more than 1,600 hectares with nearly 700,000 cherry trees, and has been recognized by international media outlets as one of the most beautiful cherry parks on earth.
