Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office holds training session for officials

The Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a training session on Sept 13-17 for 60 officials from Guiyang and Guian New Area's government departments, universities, and high schools.

Liu Song, deputy director of the Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, said at the opening ceremony that the training session focused on opening-up and invited experts and scholars on international relations, international communication, translation, and cross-cultural communication.

Trainees can improve their international and cross-cultural communication abilities and master English writing and translations through both theory and practice.

The training covers macro and micro theories, as well as English translation and interpretation, and can help with the development of foreign affairs talents.
