Japanese delegation attends Big Data Expo

A delegation of institutions of Japanese local governments in China, comprising the Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing, the Chengdu Office of Japan External Trade Organization and the Shanghai Office of Japan-China Economic Association, participated in the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2021 (Big Data Expo 2021) from May 25 to 27.

The delegation attended the opening ceremony of Big Data Expo 2021, participated in exhibitions, visited the business facilities of ESTEE in Nanming District, and held a meeting with the Nanming District People's Government. Nobuyuki Watanabe, Japanese Consul General in Chongqing, hoped that Japan would carry out in-depth exchanges with Guizhou and Guiyang, and in particular, Guizhou would bring in more Japanese restaurants to promote the economic and cultural development of both sides.

On May 26, the delegation hosted Guizhou Sake Tasting & Fair at Renaissance Guiyang Hotel. The representatives of the institutions of 7 Japanese local governments in China, including Ishikawa, Fukui and Shiga, promoted featured sake and negotiated with Guiyang's local enterprises.

Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will continue to strengthen contacts and coordination with the Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing, the Chengdu Office of Japan External Trade Organization and other institutions, follow up Japan's participation in the 11th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo, and promote practical cooperation in more fields with focus on wine culture exchanges and cooperation.
