On the sidelines of Big Data Expo 2021, Iem had an online-offline meeting with Guiyang Preschool Education College (GYPEC). Perth Kimli, Director of the Preschool Teacher Training Center, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia, attended the meeting by video. Chen Wenyi, Deputy Director of the ASEAN Secretariat of the Department of Education of Guizhou Province; Wen Jia, Deputy Director of the Administrative Office of GYPEC; and other guests attended the meeting offline. Zhai Lihong, President of GYPEC, chaired the meeting.
According to GYPEC, in 2018, the China-Cambodia Preschool Teacher Training Center program was listed among the top 20 of the first China-ASEAN 100+100 Institutional Cooperation Flagship Programs run by the Ministry of Education and the China Education Association for International Exchange as Guizhou's first program to win this honor. This year GYPEC will donate Chinese traditional educational toys to Cambodia to establish a child game center. GYPEC aims to extend the center's most advanced teaching ideas and most scientific teaching methods to more ASEAN countries, to enhance its international influence and guide Guizhou in preschool education research.

The China-Cambodia Preschool Teacher Training Center is the first bilateral preschool teacher training program under the framework of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. Based on the center's superior resources for preschool faculty training, preschool education research, Chinese language and Chinese traditional culture, GYPEC will push forward preschool education in Cambodia, and further deepen China-Cambodia preschool education exchanges and cooperation.
Iem was pleased to attend the meeting and figuratively compared the importance of preschool education to talent training to the importance of bamboo roots to bamboos.
Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will continue to strengthen contacts and coordination with the Consulate General of Cambodia in Kunming, develop new cooperation channels, help to enhance the influence and radiating force of GYPEC's China-Cambodia Preschool Teacher Training Center program, and facilitate substantial cooperation in more fields and a broader range.
