Thailand willing to promote tourism cooperation with Guiyang

Mongkol Visitstump, Thai Consul General in Kunming, participated in the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2021 (Big Data Expo 2021) in Guiyang from May 25 to 26.

On the morning of May 26, Mongkol attended the pavilion tour and opening ceremony of Big Data Expo 2021. He spoke highly of the development of Guizhou's big data industry in recent years, was impressed by the dramatic changes of Guizhou and Guiyang, and had full confidence in the future of Guiyang.

On the sidelines of Big Data Expo 2021, Mongkol had a meeting with Xiong Lie, Deputy Director General of the Guiyang Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Yang Zhiwei, Director of ASEAN-Guizhou (Guiyang) Tourism Culture Promotion Center. The two sides exchanged ideas on business, tourism and education. Referring to the upcoming ASEAN-China (Guiyang) Belt and Road Culture and Tourism Exchange Week in Guiyang, he offered to invite Thailand as the guest country of honor and hoped to learn more about this event.

Before leaving Guiyang, Mongkol promised to continue promoting Thailand-Guizhou & Guiyang exchanges and cooperation in big data, business and tourism, and introduce Guiyang to more Thai people. He looked forward to visiting colorful Guizhou and cool Guiyang again in the near future.

Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will maintain a close contact with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Kunming, to facilitate Thailand-Guiyang cooperation in big data, investment, education, tourism and other fields.
