Netherlands looks for further cooperation with Guiyang

Koen Sizoo, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing, participated in the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2021 (Big Data Expo 2021) in Guiyang from May 25 to 26.

Koen participated in the pavilion tour and opening ceremony of Big Data Expo 2021, and granted an interview. In recent years, Guiyang has made great advances in big data, fintech, trade and logistics, and the Netherlands has shown strong momentum in agricultural technology, logistics and modern technology development, he said, hoping that the two sides would keep exploring cooperation in these fields.

On the sidelines of Big Data Expo 2021, Koen visited Foxconn Industry Park, China Mobile Big Data Experience Center and Huawei Data Center. He spoke highly of the big data development in Guiyang.

Chen Xiading, Deputy Head of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing coming with Koen, discussed agricultural cooperation with Guiyang Agricultural Investment Development Group (GAID), and exchanged ideas with GAID on cold chain technology, mall & supermarket operation and other issues. He hoped to visit Guiyang again along with his colleagues responsible for agricultural affairs in July for the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021, so that he could further discuss cooperation with GAID to facilitate pragmatic cooperation between GAID and Dutch enterprises.

Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will continue to strengthen contacts and coordination with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing, to promote further cooperation with GAID in modern agriculture and other fields and provide services for the Consulate General to attend the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021.
