Consular officers from various countries have been impressed by China's big data development at the ongoing 2021 Big Data Expo in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Watanabe Nobuyuki, Japan's consul general in Chongqing, said that Japan has developed new big-data-related technologies after years of research, which has in turn laid the foundation for Japan's exchanges and cooperation with China. He hopes that big data can be an opportunity for Japan to carry out cooperation with Guizhou.
Wolfgang Rudischhauser, the German consul general in Chongqing, believes that Germany and Guizhou can cooperate in software and data application areas.
Adrian G. Miras, vice consul and acting head of post of Philippines' consulate general in Chongqing, said that big data can be easily applied in various industries, and that he is looking forward to cooperation between Philippines and Guiyang.
Koen Sizoo, consul general of the Netherlands in Chongqing, said Guizhou and the Netherlands have room for cooperation in more areas such as finance, commerce, logistics and agriculture.
Guizhou has in recent years been making concerted efforts to develop its digital economy, which has been ranked as the fastest growing in China for six consecutive years.
