Guiyang seeks cooperation with Magdeburg, Germany

Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently held a video meeting with Germany's Magdeburg city to discuss possible exchanges and cooperation in middle and high-end manufacturing, big data, vocational education and the establishment of friendly city relations.

Representatives of Guiyang and Magdeburg introduced the basic situation and the industrial development of both cities at the meeting and reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation.

It is the first time that Guiyang has discussed cooperation with Magdeburg city. In the future, the Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will keep close contact with Magdeburg and hopes to realize collaboration as soon as possible.

Magdeburg is located in the east of Germany and is the capital of Saxony-Anhalt State. It covers 200 square kilometers with a population of 220,000 and is one of Germany's largest centers for industry, commerce and transportation.

Magdeburg's significant industries are machine manufacturing, the creative industry, medical treatment, information technology and environmental protection.
