A delegation of Japanese government representatives to China visited Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 21-23 to learn about Guiyang's big data industry and seek opportunities for cooperation.
The delegation visited the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center and leading big data companies to learn about Guizhou's achievements in big data development and the application of big data in internet medical services and unmanned technologies.
According to Tanaka Kazushige, the head of the delegation and director-general of the Chengdu office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japanese companies need to learn more about Guizhou, and there is space for economic cooperation between Japan and Guiyang.
Zhang Mingquan, the head of the Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, said that China and Japan could cooperate in big data, sightseeing and commerce. He hoped JETRO could organize more activities to allow Japanese companies to learn about Guizhou. Zhang added that his office would be honored to provide support for cooperation between Japan and Guizhou.
As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office has focused on anti-epidemic cooperation with other countries and cities and donated medical supplies to 13 friendly cities and organizations.
Meanwhile, the office explores an innovative approach to foreign affairs by holding online meetings to share anti-epidemic experience, aiming to promote friendly exchanges with other countries and cities.
