Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office celebrates Double Ninth Festival

Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office in Southwest China's Guizhou province organized a symposium for retired workers on Oct 23 to celebrate Double Ninth Festival, which fell on Oct 25 this year.

Zhang Mingquan, head of the office, extended his greetings to the retired individuals, thanked them for their contributions to Guiyang's foreign affairs department and introduced the office's current official team.

According to Zhang, the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic has been the primary focus of the office's work this year. As the department in charge of epidemic prevention and control for overseas returnees, the office has contributed to Guiyang's opening-up by controlling the epidemic while carrying out international anti-epidemic cooperation.

Other officials presented the office's experience and achievements in epidemic prevention and control to the retired guests.

The retirees were impressed by the office's anti-epidemic efforts and offered suggestions on the office's future work at the symposium.
