Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office organizes English training course

Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a five-day English training course on Aug 24-28, and more than 40 foreign affairs related officials from Guiyang attended the course.

Renowned English experts, scholars and professors from inside and outside Guizhou participated in the course, which covered diplomatic theories, international-level English dialogues, translation and writing official documents and oral and written translation skills.

Trainees said the course provided them with methods to promote Guiyang internationally and helped them understand the language and cultural differences between China and other countries. It also assisted course attendees to master English writing and translations skills.

Participants added that the course stimulated their enthusiasm for learning English and laid a foundation for improving their English and international exchange abilities.
