Briefing on COVID-19 Cases in Guizhou (As of March 12)

From 00:00 to 24:00, March 12, 2020, there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Guizhou and 3 more recovered patients (1 in Guiyang City, 2 in Bijie City) were discharged from hospital.

As of 24:00 on March 12, 146 confirmed cases had been reported in Guizhou accumulatively, including 51 people ever living or traveling in Wuhan City, 14 ever living or traveling in other areas of Hubei, and 15 ever living or traveling outside Hubei recently before confirmed. 

Among the cases, 140 had already been cured and discharged from hospital, 4 were still in hospital (3 in mild and stable condition, 1 in severe condition), and 2 deaths were reported. 74 of the patients were male and 72 were female. The oldest patient was 87 and the youngest patient was 1-month-old (when confirmed). Of the total confirmed cases, 36 were found in Guiyang City (33 cured, 1 dead), 32 in Zunyi City (31 cured), 10 in Liupanshui City (8 cured, 1 dead), 4 in Anshun City (4 cured), 23 in Bijie City (23 cured), 10 in Tongren City (10 cured), 10 in Qiandongnan Prefecture (10 cured), 17 in Qiannan Prefecture (17 cured) and 4 in Qianxinan Prefecture (4 cured). The total number of suspected infections is 0.

At present, of the traced 2574 close contacts, 2489 have been released from and 13 are still under medical observation.
