A delegation from Saga Prefecture, Japan led by Governor Yoshinori Yamaguchi recently visited Southwest China's Guizhou province, where they were impressed by Guizhou's efforts in economic development and environmental protection.
According to Yamaguchi, Saga and Guizhou shares similarities in traditional culture, environmental protection, and emerging industries, which make Guizhou's experiences in social development referable for Saga.
Guizhou and Saga started friendly exchanges in 1998 and officially signed a memorandum of friendship in 2012, which marked the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
Guizhou officials expressed wishes for further cooperation with Saga in agriculture, tourism, trade, and environment, as well as to enhance exchanges between technicians, government officials, and teenagers.
