Representatives from 13 Arab countries visited Southwest China's Guizhou province from Oct 22 to 25, and praised Guizhou's achievements in big data, tourism, poverty alleviation, and social economic development.
Awale Kullane, ambassador of the Somali Embassy in China, was impressed by Guizhou's big data industry when visiting the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center in Guiyang.
As information plays a key role in the cooperation between different countries and regions, Guizhou has been a world leader in terms of developing its big data industry, in which case, Somalia wishes to conduct further exchanges with Guizhou in the future, said Kullane.
Guizhou has broken many world records in bridge construction, and the efforts it has made in infrastructure construction has provided convenience for the public and boosted its economic development.
Mahmoud Amin, director of the Arab League representative office in China, said that Arab countries are also in need of such infrastructure, and the cooperation between Guizhou and Arab countries will allow both sides to share resources in construction and tourism.
When visiting Huangguoshu National Park, Abdellahi El Vilaly, ambassador of the Mauritanian embassy to China, spoke highly of Guizhou's ecological environment. According to El Vilaly, such lucid waters and lush mountains serves as a green development model that allows the harmonious co-existence between man and nature.
