According to local news reports, the construction of the 1-gigawatts (GW) photovoltaic project in Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is expected to be completed within the year.

The project base is located in Longshan village of Gui'an, and covers an area of 28,600 square meters. With a construction period of six months, this project includes site leveling work, power systems, weak current systems, fire protection systems, workshop building and other auxiliary projects.

The director of the project stated that the land leveling work for the project is currently at 90-percent completion, and the foundation work is at 75-percent completion.

The project will introduce an efficient module production line and the auxiliary equipment based on the high-efficiency monocrystalline TOPCON cell technology. Once in operation, it will mainly produce monocrystalline silicon solar modules, with an annual production capacity of 1GW. This will contribute to Gui'an's high-quality development, as well as the optimization of its energy structure.

The project obtained its construction permit on January 24 of this year, and commenced work on January 30. Currently, it has deployed a workforce of over 60 people and 24 pieces of machinery. It is anticipated that the construction of the project's factory area will be completed by May 30.
