Guiyang ranks 1st in provincial business environment evaluation

Data show that in 2023, Guiyang's GDP surpassed 500 billion yuan ($70.5 billion), reaching 515.48 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 6 percent, exceeding the national average growth rate.

The added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size in Guiyang also increased by 9.6 percent year-on-year, reaching a new high in nearly six years. Additionally, major projects funded by firms such as CATL and Chery have commenced production, contributing to Guiyang's transformation into a leading smart computing base.

In recent years, the Guiyang government has prioritized the development of its digital economy and green economy. Efforts have been made to simplify administrative approvals, support technological innovation, cultivate talent, improve infrastructure, and maintain fair competition. These measures have made Guiyang an attractive destination for business development, drawing an increasing number of enterprises to invest and establish operations.

As of now, the Zhaoshangyi platform has attracted 469 enterprises with a total investment of 93.09 billion yuan.

The Guishangyi platform provides industrial design, inspection and testing, informatization transformation, and software services to businesses to promote the integrated development of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries.

In the 2023 business environment evaluation of Guizhou province, Guiyang once again ranked first. The comprehensive scores of Xiuwen county, Xifeng county, Wudang district, and Yunyan district of Guiyang entered the top 10.
