Zhang Mingquan, head of the investment promotion bureau of Guian New Area, said that since the beginning of this year, the new area has been seeking to fulfill its annual goal of bringing in 30 billion yuan ($4.18 billion) in investment by paying special attention to industrial projects, big data, State-owned enterprises, standardized workshops, headquarters economy, industrial chains, funds, and industrial park platforms.
From January to May this year, Guian signed 15 new project agreements worth 15.58 billion yuan in total, and introduced 12 outstanding enterprises and 42 digital economy operators. The Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city reported 495 registered enterprises since its operation.
Moving forward, Guian is expected to launch the 23 projects signed during the Big Data Expo this year and further negotiate with managers in charge of projects highly likely to be established in the new area.
Meanwhile, the government will continue to bring in investment for the Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city and sign a number of project agreements, especially those related to financial data centers, industrial internet, artificial intelligence, scenario applications, and other similar fields.
