Over the first quarter of this year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province brought in 307 industrial projects with investments totaling 70.31 billion yuan ($10.24 billion). Meanwhile, they have accumulated 34.78 billion yuan in funding, in which the funds for industrial projects account for 57.45 percent of the total, announced the Guiyang bureau of investment promotion on April 19.
At the same time, 123 leading companies have agreed to settle in Guiyang and Guian in the near future.
The influences of Guiyang and Guian's business promotion campaigns and activities have played a crucial role in investment attraction. The Guangdong-Guizhou cooperation conference held in March saw the signing of seven projects worth 13.9 billion yuan, taking up 28.19 percent of Guizhou's total contract volume. At the 17th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, Guiyang signed another five project contracts valued at 4.02 billion yuan.
Guiyang ranked first in Guizhou last year in terms of investment promotion efficiency and business environment.
